Superstructure

Superstructure

A superstructure is an upward extension of an existing structure above a baseline. This term is applied to various kinds of physical structures such as buildings, bridges, or ships. The word "superstructure" in building terms is a combination of the Latin prefix, super, (meaning above, in addition) with the Latin stem word, structure, (meaning to build or to heap up).

Sandwiched between the Foundation and the Roof, the Superstructure is the main body and shell of a building. Structurally important with Bricks and Mortar, Columns and Arches, and Beams and Slabs, the main shape of your house comes out of this section.

It is very important to get your superstructure concept i.e. layout right. THL can help you either design or realize an existing design you have into a well thought out building that will be both functional and attractive.
