In 2000 Royjan was employed as Project Manager by Braeburn School to renovate and expand an existing school just outside Arusha in Tanzania.
This large project consisted of 12 large new classrooms, a music center and art block, administration offices and new toilet block. 16 staff houses for teachers (2 bedroom cottages) were also added as well as 2 three bedroom senior staff houses. Games and sport facilities included a full size competition pool, squash, netball and tennis courts, a club house with bar and catering facilities and pitches. Service facilities including perimeter walling, road building and parking facilities, storm water drainage, power and water supply, sewerage, irrigation and landscaping were also done.
As well as construction of the new parts of the school Royjan was also asked to repair and maintain the existing school. This school is now fully functioning and is an important member of the Braeburn chain of schools.
